How to reconnect your Airtable base

How to re-authenticate with your Airtable base

Updated over a week ago

If your Airtable base is no longer syncing with Glide, follow the steps below in order. Start with the simplest fix and move down the list if the issue isn’t resolved.

Note: The Glide team member who originally added the Airtable base to the Glide app must complete these steps.

Option 1: Reconnect the Airtable integration

This refreshes the connection without changing anything else.

  1. Have the team member sign into their Glide account and open the app in the Builder.

  2. Navigate to the Data Editor by clicking Data at the top of the page.

  3. On the upper-left, click the plus (+) sign to the right of Tables and select Airtable in the dropdown menu.

  4. In the Select an Airtable Base modal, click the dropdown menu and select + Add another Airtable account.

  5. A new tab will open for you to provide Glide access to your Airtable base(s). Click + Add a base and then either select the same base used by the app or All current and future bases in all current and future workspaces.

    1. Glide recommends selecting All current and future bases if you think you'll have many bases connected to Glide.

  6. After making your selection, click Grant access.

  7. Once you have granted access, you should be directed to the Select an Airtable Base modal.

  8. Select the base that is already connected to this app and click Add Source.

  9. In the bottom left corner, click the Sync data manually ↻ button.

  10. After completing re-authentication, updates may take a while to complete. This depends on the total amount of data in the Airtable base and the number of changes that need to be synced.

Option 2: Delete and reconnect the Airtable integration

This removes the existing integration in Glide and lets you set it up again.

Rest assured, this action will not result in any loss of your existing tables or data already in the app.

  1. Have the team member sign into their Glide account and open the app in the Builder.

  2. Navigate to the Data Editor by clicking Data at the top of the page.

  3. On the upper-left, click the plus (+) sign to the right of Tables and select Airtable in the dropdown menu.

  4. In the Select an Airtable Base modal, Click Edit Airtable Integration.

  5. In the modal that opens up, click Delete.

  6. Click the plus (+) sign again and select Airtable in the dropdown menu.

  7. In the new modal, click Connect to Airtable.

  8. A new tab will open for you to provide Glide access to your Airtable base(s). Click + Add a base and then either select the same base used by the app or All current and future bases in all current and future workspaces.

    1. Glide recommends selecting All current and future bases if you think you'll have many bases connected to Glide.

  9. After making your selection, click Grant access.

  10. Once you have granted access, you should be directed to the Select an Airtable Base modal.

  11. Select the base that is already connected to this app and click Add Source.

  12. In the bottom left corner, click the Sync data manually ↻ button.

  13. After completing re-authentication, updates may take a while to complete. This depends on the total amount of data in the Airtable base and the number of changes that need to be synced.

Option 3: Revoke Access from Airtable, Then Reconnect in Glide

This fully resets Glide's permissions from Airtable’s side and can resolve stubborn connection issues.

  1. Open airtable.com and click your avatar in the top right corner

  2. Select Integrations

  3. Select Third-party integrations

  4. Find one or more Glide integrations, click into each of them and Revoke access

  5. Repeat the steps described in Option #2 above
