Updated over 3 weeks ago

Changing the Airtable account that Glide uses for authentication involves a few straightforward steps. Follow the guide below to ensure a seamless transition:

  1. Sign in with the Original Glide User:

    • Begin by making sure the original user who set up the Airtable integration is logged into Glide. This is important as this account holds the original authentication credentials for the Airtable connection.

  2. Sign in with the New Airtable Account:

    • Open a new tab in your web browser and sign into the Airtable account that you wish to use for future Glide integrations. Ensure this account has access to the same bases that were used in the original setup.

  3. Add Airtable Source in Glide:

    • Go back to your Glide app and initiate the process of adding a new Airtable data source. This can typically be found in the data settings section of your Glide app dashboard.

    • When prompted, select to connect to an Airtable account, ensuring you are connecting through the new account you logged into earlier.

    • It’s crucial to select the exact same Airtable base that was originally configured with the Glide app. This will maintain data consistency and prevent any disruptions in your app’s functionality.

Following these steps will update the Airtable account that Glide authenticates with, ensuring that your Glide application continues to have access to the necessary data while using the new Airtable credentials. Make sure that all permissions and access rights in the new Airtable account match those required by your app for uninterrupted service.
