Publishing Limitations on the Glide Free Plan

Overview of Policy

The Glide Free plan is designed primarily for testing and building apps. However, publishing apps is not included in the Free plan. Users can create and test apps within the app builder, but only the builder has access to the apps in this mode. Publishing apps requires upgrading to one of Glide's paid plans. If you see a publishing quota of 0/0 or encounter blocks when trying to publish, this is because the Free plan does not support publishing.

Reasons for the Change

This limitation was introduced based on performance and security considerations. Publishing capabilities were intentionally restricted to paid plans to ensure a better experience for all users and maintain platform integrity. The Free plan remains focused on giving users the opportunity to explore Glide by building and previewing their apps without publishing. ,

Specific Limitations of the Free Plan

  • Testing Only: Apps created under the Free plan can only be run and tested within the Glide app builder. These apps cannot be shared or accessed by others outside the builder.

  • No Publishing Quota: The Free plan does not provide any publishing quota. Builders may observe an apparent 0/0 publishing limit as a result of this restriction.

Advantages of Upgrading to a Paid Plan

Upgrading to a paid plan enables users to:

  1. Publish and share apps with others.

  2. Access enhanced support and additional features.

  3. Overcome the limitations of app access solely within the builder environment.
