Note: Microsoft Office 365 hosted email services are known for categorizing Glide sign-in emails as spam and/or phishing without notifying Glide.
In most cases where users aren't getting the PIN email, Glide's email service is told that the email was successfully delivered. If your users cannot find the PIN email, try the following:
no-reply@auth.appnotify.io - The PIN email is delivered from, no-reply@auth.appnotify.io. Users should try searching their inbox for emails from this address.
Make sure to search all spam, trash, and junk folders. If an email is found in one of these folders, mark it as legitimate and move it out of that folder. This helps train the spam/phishing service to allow Glide emails.
Adding this email address to your Contacts may help with delivery.
Remove the magic link - The PIN email can optionally Include a magic link URL that allows users to open their app directly without having to type the PIN in. Sometimes, a email services interpret the magic link URL as part of a phishing schema and removing it allows the PIN emails to be delivered.
To make this change, navigate to Settings->Users & Authentication and uncheck, Include magic link to sign in without PIN.
Change the app name - The subject line of the PIN email includes the app name. Some app names trigger email servers to think the email is spam/phishing.
To change the app name, navigate to Settings->Name & Icon, and change the Title.
Work with IT - In some cases, a company's email service has quarantined the PIN email, and your IT team needs to release it. Additionally, IT can mark the sender as allowed, so future emails are automatically allowed through. Please watch this video for details on how to find Microsoft Office 365's email quarantine center.
Note: Sometimes, an email service may classify Glide’s PIN email as spam or phishing, which can result in the email being blocked. Glide isn’t always notified when this happens. However, if Glide does receive a notification about the block, there may be an option to request a reclassification. Keep in mind that this information isn’t always provided by the email service.
