Deleting Teams and Apps
Updated over a week ago

Deleting teams or apps within Glide is a definitive action, meaning it cannot be undone. Please proceed carefully when deleting teams or apps and take preventive measures to avoid losing important data.

Permanent Deletion

  1. Glide requires explicit confirmation to delete teams or apps. You must manually type the team or app's name to confirm the deletion, ensuring it is not done accidentally. Deletion is the only time Glide will ask you to manually type in a team or app name. If you’re being asked to do this, it’s because you have opened the delete modal.

  2. Deleting a team not only removes the team but also all the apps associated with that team.

  3. Back up your data before proceeding with deletion. If there are apps within the team that you wish to keep, transfer them to another team.

Steps to Delete a Team or App

  1. Go to the settings section of your team folder.

  2. Click the "Delete team" button at the bottom of the page.

  3. A pop-up will appear asking for confirmation. Enter the highlighted text to proceed with the deletion.

Precautionary Measures

  • Double-check which team you are deleting, especially in environments where you manage multiple teams.

  • Make sure that all team members know about the deletion to avoid accidental loss of access to necessary apps or data.

  • Consider the impact on linked data sources and integrations, as these will also be permanently affected.

Glide can not offer a recovery option for deleted teams or apps. Once deleted, the action is final. It is recommended that you create all necessary backups and consider all dependencies before deleting a team or app.
