I can't transfer an app because of two workflow Big Tables

Updated over a week ago

If you're trying to transfer a Glide app to another team and see an error related to two Big Tables, you're likely encountering a common issue caused by automation features.

Why This Happens

When you use Glide's new Workflows—including scheduled workflows, Slack messages, webhooks, manual or emails—Glide automatically adds two Big Tables to your app:

  • Automation Run Log

  • Workflow Run Log

These tables are used to track automation activity, but because they're Big Tables, they block app transfers. Big Tables are team-level resources and can't be moved across teams with the app.

How to Fix It

To transfer your app, you'll need to unlink these two tables first. Here's how:

  1. Open the Data Editor

  2. Right-click the table name

  3. Choose Unlink

This removes the Big Table connection from your app but doesn’t delete any team data.

Transfer the App

Now that the tables are unlinked, you should be able to transfer the app to another team.

Notes:

  1. You can only transfer apps from teams with an active Glide subscription.

  2. If there are other Big Tables in your app, contact support via the chat messenger and we may be able to help.
