How Glide PIN Authentication Works
How Glide PIN Authentication Works
Updated over 2 months ago

Glide offers multiple methods for sending PINs to authenticate users. These methods include:

  • Glide Native Email PIN: Glide sends the PIN directly to the user's email.

  • Gmail PIN: Requires Gmail integration; the PIN is sent using the connected Gmail account.

  • Outlook PIN: Requires Outlook integration; the PIN is sent using the connected Outlook account.

  • Twilio SMS PIN: Sends the PIN via SMS using Twilio. Requires a configured sender number in Twilio, which will appear in the recipient’s messages.

  • Single Sign-On (SSO): Allows sign-in with your company's existing authentication system.

Important Notes:

  • If Gmail and Outlook PIN are both enabled, the PIN will be sent using Gmail.

  • Twilio requires a phone number of the user in the Users table to send the PIN via SMS.

  • The PIN using Glide native send PIN email is sent from the appnotify.io email address.

  • If you are not receiving PIN emails from Glide, refer to this troubleshooting guide: Users don't get the PIN sign-in email.
