How do I get a sales tax exemption for my non-profit Glide account?
If your organization is a non-profit or an educational institution that qualifies for sales tax exemption, it's important to follow the correct process to ensure you are not charged sales tax on your Glide software services.
An admin member of the team's email must have the same domain as the exempt organization. For example, if you are requesting an exemption for an organization called charityusa.org, there must be a team member with an email address belonging to an employee of that organization, and it should be in the format marysmith@charityusa.org.
Glide must collect sales tax on all software services purchases in various States that tax Software as a Service. The tax rules and rates are constantly changing, so you will need to check with your state laws and regulations regarding taxes.
To qualify for a sales tax exemption on your Glide account, your organization must submit the appropriate exemption form from your state.
Once you have obtained the necessary exemption form from your state's tax website, please submit it to Glide for processing by visiting the team's Billing page and selecting the 'Contact Support' link. If you have already created a message/conversation regarding this, you can attach the certificate to a reply.
State websites are updated frequently, so we recommend visiting your state's sales tax website for the most current information.
