How to Test iFrame and Embed a Glide App

Testing iFrame and embedding your app

Updated over a month ago

The iFrame component in Glide is a versatile feature that lets you embed web pages or applications directly within your app. This is helpful for integrating maps, documents, and multimedia content, providing a cohesive experience for your users. However, not every website supports embedding through iFrames, as some sites restrict this feature for security purposes.

If you want to test a URL’s compatibility with the iFrame component, you can use a tool like iFrameTester. This tool allows you to verify if the link displays as intended within an iFrame before you add it to your Glide app.

Steps to Test Your iFrame URL

  1. Enter the URL you plan to embed in your Glide app.

  2. Click “Test” to see if the page loads correctly.

If the URL displays properly, it should also work within your Glide app’s iFrame component.

Embedding a Glide App

If you want to embed an entire Glide app into another webpage, this feature is available on Glide’s Business or Enterprise plans. To have your app embedded in an iFrame, reach out to the Glide Support team, who can enable this feature for you. This allows you to share your app seamlessly on other websites, extending its accessibility and functionality.
